Capturing The Dinner Ladies’ 10th Birthday Celebration

At the end of May, I had the incredible opportunity to be the content creator for The Dinner Ladies' 10th Birthday Party at Battersea Arts Centre. I kicked off the evening by creating sneak peeks to build anticipation online, giving followers a glimpse of the excitement ahead.

Throughout the event, my primary focus was sharing live updates on Instagram to keep those who couldn’t attend in the loop. Between these real-time posts, I captured the finer details: candid moments, guests enjoying themselves, close-ups of canapés, and the vibrant atmosphere of the night.

The Dinner Ladies, founded a decade ago by two passionate women, are known for sharing their love of food through their unique events. Showcasing their celebration on social media not only boosted engagement but also highlighted how memorable and successful the evening was.

In the Instagram stories, I incorporated copy from the marketing team, tagging all partners and contributors who made the event special; including disco ball dancers, a saxophonist, and an impressive ice sculpture. (For related visuals, please scroll down)

The next day, I delivered a collection of photos and video clips, and the team was thrilled with the results. They even asked me to create a reel for their grid to keep the buzz going. The reel, set to Kool & the Gang's "Celebration," featured dynamic clips timed to the beat, perfectly reflecting the upbeat and joyful spirit of the night. It was a fantastic way to look back on the remarkable journey The Dinner Ladies have taken over the past 10 years.

Capturing The Dinner Ladies Dinner Showcase & The Foundling Museum

On 30th July, I had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful showcase at The Foundling Museum.

Guests were welcomed in the magnificent Court Room with canapés and a choice of Bovito or elderflower mocktail, before moving into the Picture Gallery. The space was styled with staggered round tables in soft green and ivory, handmade floral arrangements flowing down the centre, and elegant cordless lamps adding a warm glow. Carefully chosen tableware completed the look.

The four-course menu was a feast for both the eyes and the camera — from vibrant green garden gazpacho with Devonshire crab rarebit, to duck breast with Kent pickled berries and a delicate broad bean and pea kataifi nest. The pudding trolley stole the show, offering dark chocolate and cherry mousses, white peach and pistachio trifles, and raspberry and white chocolate petit fours to finish.

Live piano music set the mood while an artist sketched the table set-up in real time, making the evening feel even more special. It was a joy to document such a thoughtful and elegant event.
