The Cutting Room
TV marketing strategy, content creation, and execution managed by me.
Vince, the owner of The Cutting Room in Chobham, Surrey, was looking for someone to create TV marketing collateral for their new monitor, which is visible to passing cars and pedestrians. I reached out to him, sharing that I had experience in this area and would love to help. Vince had plenty of ideas but wasn't sure how to execute them, and as a busy manager and full-time hairdresser, he didn’t have the time to create the advertisements himself.
I started by designing slides in various formats, combining the style Vince preferred with my own creative input to best reflect the brand’s identity and colours. After seeing my initial concepts, Vince realised that my approach aligned perfectly with his vision, even though he hadn’t been able to articulate it before.
From there, I developed a series of TV slides highlighting services, products, the team, events, and more. Through ongoing collaboration, we finalised a standard 3 minute 30 second loop that can be updated as needed to reflect seasonal changes, promotions, and events.
The final result is visually striking, especially at night when the high-contrast colours really stand out. The length of each slide ensures that passersby have enough time to read and absorb the information before the next one appears. I used the brand’s signature colours; gold and dark grey from the logo, to maintain a clear and consistent visual identity.
